These pictures are from last weekend when my family came to visit to celebrate my sister, Jordan, and Anna's birthdays. We spent the weekend at Art in the Park trying on the funny glasses, eating the delicious cake Grandma Terri made and Aunt Jordan beautifully decorated, and just having fun. The Cookie Monster cake has been around for years in my family. I can remember having a Cookie Monster cake when I was little and let's face it, that was a long time ago. It was fun for me to see Anna celebrating her 5th birthday with something that I remember from my youth. I love seeing my girls with my family. Spoil would be the only apropriate word for what my parents did for the girls' birthdays. Cecilia's favorite was the Kinex blocks that make Bert and Ernie for Cecilia, let's just say that she tried to sleep with Ernie the night after she got it and his head kept falling off and she would start to cry "Ernie broken" and Scott or I would have to go in and fix it, needless to say we put a stop to sleeping with Ernie the next night. The big winner for Anna was her Playdough Ice Cream shop. She has made all of us multiple cones and cups of beautiful ice cream and all sorts of treats and I of course have spent almost as much time cleaning up the playdough pieces from the counter and floor, but I don't mind she loves it so much. So after a week, I think we are finally done celebrating birthdays. Happy Birthday Cecilia and Anna, hope it was a good week. We love you!
