Christmas 09

On Christmas Eve, Anna came up with the idea to have a band. Grandma Terri made her instrument out of canning rings, Anna is on recorder and Jordan is on keyboard. Later, Sara and I joined the band. I was lead singer and Sara played the drums. If only we had a video of our rendition of "Jingle Bell Rock"

Here is Anna opening her Christmas Eve gift.

Here are Lilly and I in our Christmas Eve Jammies.

This year we all got Paul Frank jammies-got to love those monkeys

Here is Lilly-she got books and a new sippy cup and a learning and walking train.

Here is Cecilia loving her Sleepy Time Dora-thank heavens Santa came through. She also got some books, playdough and a babydoll that has a highchair, crib and stroller.

Anna loved her Barbie house and plays with it all the time-that Santa really knows what he's doing. Anna also got the "Romona" series, a hangman game and "Sorry".

Here is Anna excited about her new Boise State sweatshirt mom and dad got her. As soon as she opened it Cecilia started chanting, "Boise State, Boise State." This was on Anna's wish list-which I think is adorable.

Here are my girls with Grandpa Royce. Every Christmas morning my Grandpa comes over and my dad goes and picks up my Grandma John. I can't remember a Christmas without them and cherish the memories of when my Grandma Anna Lou was alive and drinking coffee with the rest of them on Christmas morning.

Here is Scott modeling his new mask for mountain biking. His most anticipated gift was a new mountain bike light-so he can go mountain biking at night (the stipulation that came with this gift was that he had to get disability insurance). It is 350 lumens bright-brighter than headlights and Scott couldn't wait to try it out.

Here is Cecilia giving Grandpa Larry a much needed hug.

Even though our hearts were full of sorrow over the loss of my brother-everyone tried to be as bright as possible and our girls were so excited and it was a wonderful Christmas.
