Anna and coach Scott had their first game on Saturday and the Shooting Stars kicked some tail.
Here is coach Scott giving the girls a little pep talk before the big game.

I think Grandpa Bob would have been very proud of Anna and her defense-she was great.
There were a couple of little girls who were really aggressive and because of that some of the other girls didn't get to have the ball very often, I was explaining this to my mom on the phone after the game when she asked if Anna got to shoot at all. My mom, teasing, said, "well, shouldn't the coach have fixed that." My dad in the background said that he has five plays and that they all end with Anna shooting, we'll have to have Coach Scott implement one of those plays next week and see if we can get Anna a shot, but if not that's okay-Anna will be great.

I could get a little teary thinking about when Scott started Y-ball! How could he have a daughter old enough to coach? I will look forward to "cheering nicely" at Anna's games next year.
