Summer!

Our Summer was filled with celebrations, swimming, playing with cousins, Lagoon, swimming, water slides, Hogle Zoo, and more swimming!

This 4th of July we went out to the Middleton parade.  I love small town parades and all the fun small town activities on the 4th of July.  To me it's not a true 4th of July without "Malad Idol," parade watching from my Aunt Linda's lawn, a small town shootout, bed races, kid races, and fireworks that you have to run from.  While I wish we had been in Malad we had a good day in Middleton, then swimming and then a barbecue and fireworks at the Rich's house (Janet's sister).

Every year, during the summer, we drive up to our favorite swimming hole about half way to Idaho City and spend the day.  We do this two or three times and then finish the trip by driving to Idaho City and having an ice cream cone.  This year we had the pleasure of getting to spend one of our trips with R.B. and Janet and kids, Drew and Jen and kids, and Alice and Brad and Brennan and kids.  R.B. and Drew decided to run to Idaho City on the backroads and Scott decided to mountain bike up (Yuck!).  We drove up and brought lunch and spent the day swimming, eating and basking in the sun.

R.B. and Janet took their two older boys to Washington D.C. on a trip this summer and we got to have Brooklynne and Landon stay with us.  We did a lot of fun of activities including making slime, swimming, and a Primary activity that included a "white-trash" water slide and spraying each other with aftershave.

We took our annual trip to Utah and Lagoon via Malad and added a trip to Lava Hot Springs in to our plans.

This slide is crazy and goes over the Hwy!  Cecilia, Anna, Scott and I all thought it was so fun. Lilly wasn't big enough yet, but had fun hanging out with Grandma Terri and going down the little slides.

Our annual Lagoon trip is always a highlight of our summer and this year was no exception.

We also went to Hogle Zoo for a day with Jordan and Thomas was able to join us.

The new Polar Bear exhibit is awesome.

We had a great summer and made some great memories!
