Kindergarten here we come!

After missing the deadline to go to kindergarten by six days last year, she was so excited to go this year. Her teacher is Mrs. Doelle (pronounced Dale) and she is in the morning class. Even though she didn't know one person in her class she never acted nervous or anxious about starting school.

Anna chose this cute dress to wear the first day of school. she looked beautiful.

Here are all the girls ready to see Anna off on her first day of school.

Cecilia had to wear a backpack if Anna was wearing a backpack, so off they went walking to Roosevelt.

Scott went in to work late, so he could walk with us on Anna's big day. I caught this special moment as they walked together.

Here is our new Roosevelt Raider being patient with her hovering mother requesting just one last picture before heading out to the playground. Scott said that I'd better enjoy this, because in a couple of year's there is no way she's letting me take all these pictures.

I was really proud of her, she was so brave and I have to say that I was proud of myself -I didn't even cry as I watched my sweetheart walk into the school that first day. My time came later in the week when I had to drive her to school because I had errands to run. On previous days I had waited with her for the bell to ring and her class to line up and walk into the school with Mrs. Doelle. But when I pulled up to the school and parked Anna turned to me and said, "It's okay mom, you can just drop me off." I said no that's alright we'll wait for you to go in and she said, "No, I want you to just drop me off." So I got out of the van gave her a kiss and then watched her walk away. I think my heart broke into a million pieces watching her, but then when she turned around and yelled, "I love you so much." I lost it. I'm so lucky to be blessed with such a special kid.
