Anna's First Day of First Grade!

Anna started First Grade this year and on the first day of school she chose to wear a yellow shirt with a purple sequined butterfly, jean skirt and her new green and blue Nikes. She looked great.

Scott always goes into work late on the first day of school so that he can walk with us.
I hope Anna will always remember these moments.

My Grandma John was my bus driver when I was growing up. If we weren't at the bus stop on time she would pull up outside our house and if we were ready we would run out and if we weren't we would "wave her on." This year the elementary school Anna attends, Roosevelt, is being remodeled so Anna gets to ride the bus to Fort Boise (or Fort Roosevelt, as the kids call it). This will probably be the only year she'll ride the bus, and I think she was more excited about this than anything else.

I can't believe how quickly she is growing up. She is in Mrs. Greenwood's class and she tells me all the time, "First Grade is awesome!"
