Going to Fiji!

We have been waiting in wild anticipation for Alice's call to come and come it did. We had been told that it would most likely come on a Thursday and were very anxious to find out were she would be going. On the Thursday, January 22 Alice was busy hosting the Senior Sister luncheon at the church when our mail came. I happened to get some of Alice's mail in our box and went to put it in her box when I spotted the large letter from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I immediately went in and called Alice's cell phone. She went and picked up Scott and came home to open it. She pulled it out after we had got all her kids on multiple phones to hear her reaction. She happened to see the place as soon as she pulled it out and immediately screamed and held it up to her chest in utter disbelief. Scott then looked and the following picture is the two of of them after Alice started to yell, "Fiji? Fiji? I'm going to Fiji?"

This is just a look of shock, I promise she was excited.

She continued to ask questions like, "Is it ever cold in Fiji?" "Where is Fiji?" and then she said what we were all thinking, "I never thought of Fiji?" We are all excited for her and so proud to have her so eager to do what she believes in. She is such a great example to all of us and I know that while we are proud, that Bob is also so proud of her. Good luck grandma, we love you and know that you are going to serve the people of Suva, Fiji with the love and compassion, you show us daily.
