Sledding!

The girls were so anxious to go sledding with the new sleds Santa left for them on Christmas and luckily we were blessed with enough snow that they didn't have to wait for long. On the Saturday after Christmas we took the girls just up the road to a small hill in a field. The hill was the perfect size for them and they both loved going down with both their dad and by themselves.

Here Cec just relaxing in the sled after coming down the hill. She would go down, crash at the bottom, jump up, and then say, "I want to go again," and head back up the hill. No fear.

After we were done, Scott, Cecilia, and I were at the bottom of the hill and Anna was waiting at the top for us to climb up; I had just put my camera away, when about ten feet to the left of Anna eight deer came barreling over the hill being chased by a dog. It was crazy how close they were to us, but I was just so glad they hadn't come up over the hill and trampled Anna. It definitely added some excitement to our day.
