We decided to not have a huge birthday party on Anna's birthday because we wanted to make her baptism really special. Anna was baptized on September 17th at our chapel. Scott was out of town the week before the baptism and laughed when I told him that we had 65 people RSVP to come to the baptism and dinner after, including 15 friends and parents from school who are not of our faith. It was very humbling for Scott and I to have so many people willing to give of their time to support our family.
Here are Scott and Anna right before Anna was baptized. Scott baptized her and I went in and helped her get her wet jumpsuit on only to have Scott come in and tell us to put it back on because he had said the ordinance wrong. He knows it in Spanish, but in English he had forgotten a part. We put the cold jumpsuit back on and we went out and did it all over again-when I went in to help her get dressed the second time Anna turned to me and said "Should I wait a minute to get undressed in case dad has to do it again."
The program for the baptism read as follows:

My parents and sister came up from Malad and Salt Lake to attend and Erin's family came from Salt Lake also. I was so busy I didn't take any pictures that night, but caught my parents and sisters the next morning before they headed back and we headed to church.
My parents are so good about supporting my kids in all they do. They came to girls' soccer games on Saturday and were able to see Anna score her very very first goal-pretty exciting.
I love this picture of Anna and her aunt Jordan.
We are so proud of you, Anna and the beautiful, kind girl you are. Remember to always remember that your Father in Heaven and your family love you so much and we want you to be happy.
